The genuine untreated Montana sapphire has a gorgeous yellow-green color. It is a very lively stone with excellent cutting. The faceted Sapphire is about ~0.72 carat. It measures 5.4 x 4.6 x 3.4 mm.?It was faceted in a custom oval/cushion brilliant design?to best utilize the natural shape of the gem rough.

The color is an interesting mix as the gem had a golden yellow center and a blue-green rim. ?In most lighting, it shows as a medium?yellow-green. ?Under fluorescent lighting, the color shifts to a more greenish yellow, and in daylight, it can appear yellow to greenish-yellow depending on the angle its viewed. ?Very unique! ?

The gem is completely natural and unheated and has outstanding brilliance with just a bit of glow from the silk. The silk?you can see here in the photos is?not visible in the hand and is?proof that the gem has not been heated.?
